When I tell my clients that I will hold them accountable, I WILL hold them accountable. Why? The answer may seem simple, but it’s tried-and-true and worth repeating: success comes to those who work for it. And that’s proven over and over again. Here’s a recent example of how one client’s business scaled up in 6 months…and she’s never looking back. 

A Recent Client’s Success: Starting Her Own Business

Recently, I worked with my fairly new client Cierra Robbins on the start-up and growth of her business, Robbins Collective. I thought a blog post might work for those of you who – like me – like to get the highlights of a story. 

In summary, Cierra was working a 9-to-5 daily grind. She spent her days commuting, working for someone else (not herself), and coming home at the end of the day exhausted. This wasn’t her dream career: maybe her dream industry, but not her dream career. For reference: Cierra is a registered dietitian, shaping her work around healthy and mindful eating for all persons. 

Searching for more fulfillment and more control of her life, it seemed serendipitous when Cierra found me in a Facebook group. Cierra and I hopped on a call, and as they say, the rest is history. We discussed her motives, her drives, and her wants. Yes, wants are important!

Wants fuel you to make changes in your life for the better. Cierra wanted more evening walks with her husband and freedom from 2+ hours daily commute. Today, she gets those wants and more. 

Crushing Those Goals

She runs The Robbins Collective as a powerhouse community that helps other registered dietitians grow their online businesses. Cierra obtained her OBM certification early in the career shift, and she knows that gave her a leg up with her clients. They see she has the chops to support her integrity. 

Speaking of clients…I have to be upfront. Cierra had some goals for herself. She wanted both those freedoms I mentioned earlier, but she wanted to scale up within her first 6 months. She had the admirable goal of landing one client within her first 90 days. That goal can be intimidating for anyone.

But through our time together, and her tenacity (and me holding her accountable!), she met and exceeded that goal. She landed two clients within those 90 days. 

Her leap of faith paid off. She now runs her business full-time from home, sipping tea from her porch in the afternoons, cherishing this new life she’s built for herself.  This kind of freedom is attainable, scalable, and just as rewarding as you might imagine. Cierra tells me often that she feels so much joy in this switch; her life has transformed into one she owns and cherishes.
