The new year is still a few weeks away, but my feed is already full of New Year’s goals:
Huge income months. Massive program launches. Brand new products. Everywhere you turn, you’ll see fellow business owners are caught up in the “season of goal setting.”
But personally, I don’t set goals. In fact, I truly believe they can damage your business, your growth mindset, and your self-worth.
The trouble arises when we unfortunately (but inevitably) don’t reach one of the goals we set for ourselves. When that happens, we focus on what we didn’t achieve, completely forgetting to honor the growth and knowledge we gained along the way.
So before you start writing down your 2022 goals, let’s work on making them more intentional and progress-driven. That way, no matter the outcome, you’ll be appreciative of what you learned along the way.
On Today’s Show You’ll Learn:
- Why I don’t set goals in the traditional sense
- How goal setting can derail your growth mindset
- Why you should focus on the process more than the outcome
- My system for setting intentional, progress-centered goals
- How to appreciate the journey, even when you don’t reach your goals
